Sean Kelly's Pubs are owned and operated by Missoulians. Local real estate agent and Irishman, Tom Hilley, purchased Sean Kelly's around the time of St Patrick's Day, 2002. Tom had been in the Pub business for over 25 years, learning the trade by opening and operating a now infamous Montana landmark, The Garden Bar & Grill in Bigfork, Montana back in 1982.
The Stone of Accord is a pre-Christian legacy of the Celts. A free-standing rock with a small hole cut in the top, the hole was aligned so that the sun shone through it marking the change of seasons on a mid-summers day. Those wishing to make a deal would put their hands through the opening and grasp fingers. The Stone was used to finalize all types of contracts between the Celts, marriages, property transfers and wagers were all arranged through The Stone.
